| Overview
of EMDR Training |
| EMDR training consists
of three parts: |
|
|
| 1. Basic (Part 1/Level I)
Training |
| The Basic Training
consists of 20 hours and is partly didactic, partly supervised
practice of EMDR. |
| Included in the price of the Basic Training is attendance at an Intermediate EMDR Training Day (8 hours). This one-day accredited Training reviews the basic protocol, assists participants to develop and refresh their EMDR skills learnt at the Basic Training and review case material. |
 |
| Attendance at this Intermediate Day (which completes the Basic Training) is now mandatory before attendance at the Advanced (Part 3 / Level II) Training. Participants can choose an Intermediate Day (Part 2) from a number of Intermediate Training dates offered in different locations in the United Kingdom. |
| 2. Advanced (Part 3/Level
II) Training |
| The Advanced Training consists
of 20 hours and is, like the Basic Training, divided into teaching
and practice. |
| The training program for
both parts involves lectures, demonstrations, video material
and facilitated practice of the method by all participants.
All participants receive a 130-page manual for the Basic Training
and similarly a further manual for the Advanced Training. They
also receive Practice Worksheets and additional information
should this be required by a particular participant. A manual for the Intermediate Day is also provided. |
 |
| Trainings are
conducted in North West London, Glasgow and Cardiff. However small
in-house trainings can be arranged at other
sites. |
